Honor's 600 range comes in three tiers, and unlike most phones, it is listed on all four networks. We compared the Honor 600 Lite, 600 and 600 Pro across Vodacom, MTN, Cell C and Telkom, using the lowest-priced plan each network lists for the phone, on 36 months unless we say otherwise.
Who lists which
| Model | Vodacom | MTN | Cell C | Telkom |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 600 Lite (256GB) | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| 600 (256GB) | Yes | Upgrade Only | Yes | Yes |
| 600 Pro (512GB) | Yes | Upgrade Only | Yes | Yes |
"Upgrade Only" means MTN's deals are open to existing MTN customers only, so we leave them out of the comparisons below unless we say otherwise.
The Honor 600 Lite, 256GB
| Network | 24 months | 36 months | Plan at that price |
|---|---|---|---|
| MTN | R459 a month (R11 016) | R359 (R12 924) | Yellow Core, 1GB |
| Vodacom | R499 (R11 976) | R399 (R14 364) | RED Core, 1GB |
| Cell C | R599 (R14 376) | R429 (R15 444) | Elevate 1+, 1.5GB |
| Telkom | R549 (R13 176) | R429 (R15 444) | FlexOn 4, 4GB |
MTN is cheapest, by R1 440 over Vodacom and R2 520 over Cell C and Telkom on 36 months. Telkom also lists a Lite at R379 a month on FlexOn 2 (2GB), but the storage size is not recorded for that deal, so we do not rank it. Telkom's R429 plan has the most data of the four.
The Honor 600, 256GB
| Network | 24 months | 36 months | Plan at that price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vodacom | R729 a month (R17 496) | R549 (R19 764) | RED Core, 1GB |

| Telkom | R849 (R20 376) | R599 (R21 564) | FlexOn 4, 4GB |
Vodacom is cheapest by R1 800 over 36 months, with the least data of the three. Telkom's FlexOn 4 is the same price as Cell C's plan with nearly three times the data. Telkom lists a further Honor 600 at R549 on FlexOn 2 (2GB), level with Vodacom, but its storage size is not recorded. MTN's cheapest Honor 600 is R579 a month on Yellow Plus, but it is Upgrade Only.
The Honor 600 Pro, 512GB
| Network | 24 months | 36 months | Plan at that price |

What the step up costs
| Step | Network and plan | Extra per month | Extra over 36 months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite to 600 | Vodacom, 1GB | R150 | R5 400 |
| Lite to 600 | Cell C, 1.5GB | R170 | R6 120 |
| 600 to 600 Pro | Vodacom, 3GB | R200 | R7 200 |
| 600 to 600 Pro | Cell C, 3GB | R200 | R7 200 |
The 600 Pro is the 512GB model, so part of the step is storage. Going from the cheapest Lite at MTN to the cheapest Pro at Vodacom takes you from R359 to R799 a month, which is R15 840 more over 36 months.
What this tells you
- The cheapest network changes with the model. MTN is cheapest on the Lite, Vodacom on the 600 and the Pro.
- The gap is about R1 800 on two of the three phones. It is R50 a month on both the 600 and the Pro, and R70 a month on the Lite.
- The cheapest plan is the smallest. Data on these rows runs from 1GB to 4GB, and Telkom's plan often has the most for the same price.
- Shorter is cheaper in total. Every 24-month deal here costs less overall than the same deal on 36 months. The Honor 600 at Vodacom is R17 496 over 24 months and R19 764 over 36.
What to watch for
- The plans are not identical. We show the lowest price on each network, not a like-for-like data comparison.
- MTN's 600 and 600 Pro deals are for existing customers.
- Some Telkom deals have no storage recorded. We do not rank them against deals with a stated size.
- Prices move. We read Vodacom and MTN on 7 October 2026, Cell C on 1 October and Telkom on 7 and 9 October. Check the figure on the day.
- No upfront payment is recorded for any of these deals. Totals are the monthly price times the number of months.
How to compare
- Choose the model and storage first, then compare networks.
- Compare the total over the contract, not only the monthly price.
- Check the data: the cheapest plan is usually the smallest.
- Look at 24 and 36 months side by side.
